6063-T5, yielding around 145 MPa, suits architectural trim and light framing, and it anodizes to the most even colour. 6061-T6, near 240 MPa, covers load-bearing work where the channel carries more than its own weight. Anodizing runs from 10 to 25 microns, with 15 microns as the standard architectural specification. Powder coating opens the full RAL colour range, while mill finish suits channel that stays hidden. Match the grade to the heaviest duty the channel will see.

Most channel problems come down to clearance. A slot that is too loose lets the panel rattle, while one that is too tight makes assembly a fight on site.
